This is the internal workspace (wiki) for the research group Design of Information Systems at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo.
Some material on this wiki (such as the content archive, our bibliography, the blog, a presentation of the people in the group, and selected public resources) can be accessed without logging in. But to be able to work on the group's wikispace, you'll need an account. Those eligible for an account are faculty that are members of the group, master students affiliated with the group, and external scientists cooperating with group members. To request an account, contact the site's maintainer and tell him in what way you are affiliated with the group, your email address, and what username you want to use. If you are eligible for an account, a link to create an account will be mailed you as soon as possible (usually before the end of the next working day).
The DESIGN group studies the design and use of information systems.
The group's research focuses on the design of information systems that will support users in their daily work and other practices, such as travel, play, Internet use, health care or taxes. We have a multidisciplinary approach, combining technological and socio-cultural knowledge about design, use, and users. This forms the basis for the design of information into visual and physical representations.
